Borgeson offers high-quality steering couplers and adapters, providing versatile solutions for extending and connecting your steering components. These couplers can be used to extend the steering box, rack and pinion shaft, or column shaft, sometimes eliminating the need for an additional universal joint. 

Couplers
Borgeson’s 2” straight extensions, known as couplers, can be welded or pinned to the un-splined end of a shaft. The 1” - 48 and 1” Double-D (DD) couplers feature a 1-1/4” hole that can accept an adapter to reduce the inside diameter to 3/4” smooth or another splined or 3/4” DD coupler. This assembly must be pinned and/or welded together. 

Adapters
Borgeson adapters provide the flexibility needed to match different sizes and types of steering components. These adapters ensure secure and reliable connections between various steering parts. 

Materials and Compatibility
Our steering couplers and adapters are available in durable steel, ensuring long-lasting performance and resistance to corrosion. They are compatible with the same spline and Double-D sizes as our universal joints, making them a versatile choice for various applications.
