How can I tell if I have a Z bar type clutch linkage ?

If you have the original mechanical linkage and have not switched to a cable or hydraulic setup then you have it.

do you have a kit for 1964 comet caliente that has manual steering ?

For a 1964 Comet we will need to know the diameter of the pitman shaft. The Comet used both 1” and 1-1/8 diameter shafts. You need to measure the diameter at the top of the spline near the casting as it is tapered. If the arm is still installed you can alternatively measure the diameter of the threads on the bottom of the shaft. 1” Diameter boxes have a 3/4” thread and 1-1/8” boxes have a 7/8” thread.
We offer the 1” diameter, part #800110 and 1-1/8” diameter, part #800111 power steering conversion boxes.
Additionally, the steering column will need to be shortened for installation of our box. This makes installation with a column shift very difficult.

Hello, So just to be clear if I have a mustang with manual steering, I only need to buy this kit and nothing else to convert to power steering? No center link or anything else, just what is pictured?

You will need to have the proper two row crank pulley to run the power steering pulley, the crank pulley is not included. Everything else is included in the kit.

I have your 1965 manual steering kit and trying to use me original pitman arm. Does the pitman arm seat up tight to the provided boot or is there a little gap? Thank you for your time and help.

It is a tapered spline connection and the arm will only go up until tight, a little gap is normal and the amount that the arm will go on will vary.

Can the rag joint be replaced with your part #033425 and will the vibration dampening help with the hydraulic noise transfer? Thanks

This joint has the correct spline sizes and will eliminate hydraulic noise however it is too long to allow the stock column to mount to the firewall as needed.
